LIFE THROUGH GOLDEN LENSES FEAT. DESIGN LAB

Ah, two of my favorite eras of fashion: the 60's into 70's. I've always been a sucker for stories that take place around this time, on top of the fact that I can never get enough of the hippie-dippy-to-disco fashion. This is what I would call a more minimalist approach to that era -- and although it's too hot for bell bottoms, I still love dressing like I'm about to step out of the Mystery Machine (see, my love for creepy things started in childhood).

For my 2017 take on a groovy summer style, I couldn't start this look without colored sunglasses. And, if you're any sort of avid Instagram follower, you've seen these on the many faces of bloggers from all over the world -- the yellow sunglass trend is truly taking over (a long with the weird, eighties thick plastic alien shaped frames, which I'm not sure I can get into quite yet...). I got these babies on Amazonyes, that's right (cause why not?), and to really turn up the 60's ante, I paired them with this Design Lab Crochet Top you can find at L&T. My shorts are actually an old pair of denim ones I purchased on Etsy way back when (remember when these studded shorts were so in?!), and I paired this with a simple over the shoulder beige bag, and Steve Madden platforms.
