DECEMBER FAVORITES

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I’m relieved 2020 is ending. Granted, a lot of things will stay the same in the coming months and well into 2021, but I’m hoping things are looking up from this point out. This Christmas, I got the best gift of all with my mom getting vaccinated for COVID-19. It’s such a relief, and I hope to see my other older family members following suit soon! This month I laid pretty low, worked a ton and also celebrated THREE years with Seanner (can you believe that…). We also sadly found out that one of our favorite spots (where our first official date was), Jules Bistro on St. Marks, closed due to COVID. SO upset, but fingers crossed that other jazzy french restaurants will take its place in the future. Anyway, here are some purchases from the month I’m loving!

FASHION

Missguided Camel Ultimate Faux Fur Puffer Jacket — It’s safe to say that this is my absolute favorite purchase of 2020. I wanted a new, neutral puffer (believe it or not, my winter coats are falling apart with how much I’ve worn them out), and this fit the bill perfectly. I love that the fur collar is detachable, that it’s lined, and that it’s SUPER warm. Also, it’s marked down to $55 from $110 — run, don’t walk.

Accessories

Dagne Dover Hunter Toiletry Bag in Core — I was in desperate need of a new makeup bag, and I had been gifted a pink Dagne Dover one over the summer courtesy of TULA (thank you!!!!). It served me so well but definitely needed a wash, so I decided to purchase the same one in a sister light beige color, Core. It’s super roomy (allows me to fit extra highlighter, eyeshadow, you name it), and I love all its cool pockets. Definitely a must-have if you’re looking to invest in a good toiletry or makeup bag.

Beige/Tan Beanie by Amazon Fashion — I swear that the fact that all my favorites this month are beige is totally unintentional. To match my new puffer, I wanted a tan beanie — sue me. This super affordable find on Amazon did just the trick. Now I can be all matchy matchy as I please.

Amazon Fashion Chain Belt — Another Amazon buy for the month was this chain belt I’ve been loving. Adds a nice metallic touch to any sweater dress, jeans or pants.

Bottle Brush Cream Tree from Target — One of my favorite activities this month was exploring the new UES Target (can you tell I’m getting #OLD? Lol). On a trip there early in the month, I found these cute bottle brush trees and got two of them for my apt (one sits here on my coffee table, and the other sits on my vanity). Only $5, so cute!

Frosted Amazon Christmas Tree — Last but never least, my cutie tree! I wanted something small and easy to store for the coming year considering I’m running out of room in my apartment (studios seriously fill up fast). This was a must-have because it’s the perfect size + flocked, and although it doesn’t appear to be for sale anymore, it’s one to keep an eye on for next year. [PS, Rewardstyle seems to think the ratings (1,412) is the price, plz ignore. I got this tree for about $60].
