Taking time to read is one of my 2020 goals, and as of the past few months, I’ve been sinking my teeth into The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I haven’t finished it quite yet (it’s a whopping 458 pages), but I’m pretty far along, and I’ll tell you, it’s nothing like I’ve ever read before. (Semi-spoiler alert!) The book shifts narratives in every chapter through the voice of its protagonist, but here’s the catch: the protagonist swaps bodies with each character to gain little pieces of the puzzle. This Freaky-Friday like story inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone in the way I’ve been dressing as of late, and this was one of my favorite risk-taking looks I came up with this month.

I started with the biggest change of all: wearing baby blue jeans!! This pair is from Rag & Bone and fits me stunningly (which is pretty impressive since I’m quite petite!), and I love the small rip and flared, split leg at the bottom. I pulled out the true blue in them when I edited these photos, and I love how it turned out. On top, I stuck with a look that’s very me (a nod to the little pieces left of protagonist Aiden Bishop in 7½ Deaths), and wore a white ribbed turtleneck from Missguided, and paired this Olivia Velvet Tiered Peplum by UO overtop. To complete the look, I added a Topshop leather jacket and the prettiest rhinestone headband.

Completing this swapped persona post with a little sagacity from the Bard (as usual!)

“The more pity that fools may not speak wisely what wise men do foolishly.”
