EVERYTHING IS BLUE FEAT. RAG AND BONE

I have always been a Halsey fan from the moment I listened to her album Colors. I’ve always admired her for marching to the beat of her own drum and telling such beautiful stories through her lyrics. I’ve been replaying that album recently and wanted to put together a look reminiscent of it — starring, of course, blue.

If you can’t tell — I don’t wear a lot of blue — or cool colors for that matter, but when I laid eyes on this gorgeous corduroy blue skirt at a Rag and Bone sample sale a few years ago, I just couldn’t pass it up. The funny part about this skirt is that not only is it a color choice I don’t typically go for — it’s slightly big on me as well, but I got it anyway. I figured it’s something I can easily tailor, or just wear with big, thick sweaters live I’ve done here. Easy.

I paired it with a black turtleneck from Zara (similar here), a layered Free People ruffle sweater on top, and this cool moto jacket from Lulus. I wanted to do something funky with my stockings, so I opted for these patterned tights from Amazon Fashion. To wrap up the look, I paired it with my Gucci Marmont Camera Bag and these cute off-white boots from Circus by Sam Edelman.

Leaving you with a very striking color-quote to go along with this post from the Bard:

“My hands are of your color, but I shame to wear a heart so white.”
