SEPTEMBER FAVORITES

September baby! You were good to me (so far!). If you couldn’t already tell by my Libra-ness, this is my favorite month. It’s not too cold nor hot, Starbucks launches their fall menu and let’s be real it’s just the perfect time of year. I did some splurgy birthday-shopping this month and picked up some new staples, tried some new brands and most excitingly, got some new home decor pieces (plus my dresser from home that I’ve been living in this apartment without for way too long!) Here are some of my favorite picks!

Cider Beige Rib Cross Halter TopOk, so I’ve been eyeing this brand for a while now thanks to Instagram ads (I know lol). I was unsure about how I’d feel about the quality, only because a) I found them on Instagram and b) the prices just can’t be beat. Much to my pleasure, this brand holds up!! The quality of this top is beyond worth the $16 it cost, and I love how flattering it is (esp the neckline!) 10/10.

Cider Retro Oil Painting Tank TopYou didn’t think that was the only thing I picked up during my Cider haul? Na, this marble washed tank was like number one on my list. I totally love the abstract print, the colors, and most importantly, all of the interesting straps. You’ll definitely see me wearing this on the warmer days we have this fall before I have to put my tank tops away for the season!

H&M Burgundy BootsOk so funny story about these boots! I actually saw these in H&M a few months ago when I was at the Quincy Market (is that right, Bahston peeps?) store. I knew I wanted them, but was only there to buy some sweaters — remember when MDW was cold and rainy? Yea, me too! Anyway, I refrained from purchasing the first time, and then recently I made a trip to the H&M on the UES by my apartment. There they were, once again, and I was like you know what? It’s a sign! So I picked them up for Fall and I’m so obsessed! They definitely cut up my feet the first few times I wore them, but once I broke ‘em in, they’re my fave.

Anecdote Basic/ Candle * GIFTED *This pumpkin-spiced candle was a gifted goodie I recently got in the mail, and I’m kinda-sorta-really obsessed with it. It smells like musk mixed with sweet and spicy pumpkin.

Eliza Rug by RUGS.COMSo for my birthday gift, I asked for a new rug! This super plush option was an easy find (literally from rugs.com lol), and it totally elevates my space. I also love that I’ll likely take it with me to the next place I go. Sooo good.

West Elm Dresser — Ok, so I got this baby back in 2016, and it’s been sitting, empty! at my parents house since I moved to the city in 2018. Thanks to help from Seanner, and my good friend BJ, it finally got moved to my apartment in a the tiny spot perfectly designated for a dresser! It’s unfortunately not available anymore (sad!), but I found a link to a similar one here.

Leaving with you this pretty quote from the Bard to kick off this new season!

"From women's eyes this doctrine I derive: They sparkle still the right Promethean fire; They are the books, the arts, the academes, That show, contain, and nourish all the world."
