DECEMBER FAVORITES

Lots of highs this month in December, and lots of nostalgia. This month we celebrated the one year anniversary of my dear friend, Lindsey’s passing, and I also recently celebrated the six year anniversary of my grandfather’s passing. Needless to say, it’s a tough month for me, but I had the best time being surrounded by friends and fam. And, getting some Christmas gifts helped (teehee). Here, I’m sharing my favorite purchases/ gifts I got this month and boy, am I grateful. Excited to start of 2023 with a bang!

Fendi Wool Beige Baguette [secondhand from Fashionphile] I know what you’re thinking: Alanna, whyyyyyyyy?! Well there are two reasons! 1) This bag was an absolute steal compared to other secondhand Baguettes on the market which can run anywhere from $1-2K in good condition and 2) in effort to honor Lindsey, WWLD (what would Lindsey do)? I thought, well, she’d buy it, so I did. I haven’t purchased a designer item in a couple years now (my last was the Fendi Mini Double F at the end of 2020), and with the price tag well under average, I simply couldn’t pass this up. Big shout out to Fashionphile as it was my first purchase with them, they were super speedy with delivery, and the bag is simply in excellent condition. I also love that this pick can be worn literally anytime of year: it would look stellar in the winter with some tall white boots, fun in the spring and summer paired with strappy sandals, and gorgeous in the fall with combat boots. Welcome home! I’m thrilled with it. Here’s a link to a similar secondhand option!

Amazon Fashion Large Velvet Brown Hair Bow — There’s just something beautiful about a velvet hair accessory for winter, and I’m loving this $9 one I picked up to add to my Christmas outfit. I’ve been wearing my hair in a half-down half-up style as of late, and this is the perfect little accessory to jazz it up a bit.

Nike AF1 Low LXX Vachetta Tan Flax Since sneakers have become a major part of my WFH wardrobe, I asked Sean for this pair for Christmas and he delivered! They’re absolutely stunning in person, have suede details and I love the orange-brown sole. You bet I’ll be wearing these non-stop!

CB2 Porsha Smoked Modern White Wine GlassesMy second gift from Sean (Thanks Sean!) were these stunning white wine glasses from CB2. I was kind of in between these and the red wine version, but the latter was a lot wider and taller (which, I didn’t feel was super necessary), so I’m happy he went with these. Colored glass is super in right now (without surprise) so I’m happy to have jumped onto the trend!!

Anthropologie Tiled Margot Monogram MugKind of like 2 years late to the game on this one but I finally got one of these cult-fave mugs for Christmas! It’s super pretty in person and I’m pumped to use it for my hot tea — my mom joked that she should get Sean an ‘S’ one now lol.

Shop Kanyon Gingerbread Candle I mean, it doesn’t get much cuter than this. I found this brand on Instagram and picked up two of these candles during their Black Friday sale for the season. Love to support a small business, especially when it smells and looks as good as this guy!
