MAY FAVORITES

May was good to me this year, with some fun travels, warmer weather (TG), and fun purchases. We went up to Montréal for (my very first) F1 race, and I was super surprised with how much I actually enjoyed it! I definitely wanted to try the experience in general (I’m not a huge sports person TBH so it was a bit out of my comfort zone), and I’m so happy I did! There’s something invigorating about the crowd there, the energy, the stakes— it was enjoyable to be a part of. Also we had a great time in the city generally (highly recommend if you haven’t been), ate the best food, and had the best drinks—it was a great kickoff to summer and I’m grateful I got to go! Read on for some favorite purchases I made up there as well as some picks I brought on my trip.

Zara Polka Dot Poplin Shirt — This blouse stood out the minute I laid eyes on it! Probably my favorite purchase of the trip, it’s a lightweight cap sleeve shirt that ties in the front and at the neck. It’s super comfy, looks perfect paired with baggy jeans or a silky skirt, and I will be wearing it on repeat this summer!

Silk Skort with Black LaceThis was also a Zara purchase up in QC, but I couldn’t find it online and linked something similar. It’s actually a skort which is super cute, and has a fun black lace trim along the side for extra texture and dimension. Can’t wait to pair this with a simple tank or blouse for fancier occasions in the coming months.

ACCESSORIES

Polka Dot Scrunchies — This was an impulse purchase right before my trip, and they certainly came in handy! Super easy to add a little more fun to a plain look (I wore them a few times in the past few weeks), and can dress up a pony or half-up, half-down style.

Tortoise Kitten Heels Another great impulse buy, I wore these for an entire evening into night on our last eve in Montréal and didn’t get one blister or shoe bite. We walked a ton, and these held up! They’re super comfy and also pair well with jeans or a midi dress as you please. Obsessed.

“The summer's flow'r is to the summer sweet, Though to itself it only live and die' But if that flow'r with base infection meet, The basest weed outbraves his dignity: For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds; Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds.”
