JANUARY FAVORITES
While January isn’t exactly my favorite month (mostly because it’s sub 20 degrees rn in NYC), the past couple of weeks have been some good ones! We got to do some fun dinners (63 Clinton was well worth the hype), saw some cool shows (highly rec Oedipus before it closes!), and bopped around NYC for some fun spring/summer previews and events. It’s been a refreshing time, but let’s say I’m definitely ready for some warmer weather 🤪. This month I also challenged myself to rewear some things in my closet to cut down on shopping (eep, which is hard), but I’m proud of some of the lewks I came up with, like this going-out fit and this cozy work number. Here, I’m sharing some of my favorite accessories and pieces of the month.
fashion
Abercrombie & Fitch Polka Dot Off the Shoulder Top (similar here) — I’m pretty sure I snagged the very last of these on the A&F sale, and I’m so glad I did. I’m into polka dots this season—I feel like they’re perfect for winter to spring transition dressing— and I’m a big fan of this off-the-shoulder mesh style and look. Excited to pair these with leather pants for winter and light jeans for spring, it’s a good one. And I got it for under $30!
Accessories
Cigar Box Purse (found similar online here) — This one was a beautiful gift from Lindsey’s 🦋 aunt, TLDR: one New Year's Eve long ago, Lindsey and I slept over at her aunt’s apartment when we were heading out in the city (her aunt was out of town at a friend’s). This, of course, led to some mayhem and chaos of looking through her aunt’s closet (hehe), and I got a look at this really cool cigar box purse that I found out Lindsey’s aunt had thrifted years prior. Lindsey took note of my immediate love for this piece, and told her aunt about it some time later. Well, this past Christmas, her aunt decided to gift it to me, which was just so special. It’s a piece that’s so unique and literally encapsulates the memory I had with Lindsey that night. I can’t wait to style, wear, and treasure it forever <3.
Emi Jay Tortoise Rhinestone Clip (similar here) — While I think this particular clip is no longer available at Emi Jay, it encapsulates my winter-to-spring style nicely: a little tortoise shell, a little sparkle. I like wearing my hair in a half up half down bun and clipping the bun back with this one; it’s perfect for a day out and about, work, or a dinner date.
Steve Madden Elusive Olive Satin * gifted * — A major favorite this month are these feather olive satin heels that were gifted to me from the team at Steve Madden (thank you !!!). While I have yet to style them, they’re such a fun addition to my shoe collection, and I can’t wait to pair them with a short cocktail dress or a cool pair of jeans.
