It's that time of year again ladies and gents — #NYFW!! This season, my schedule has been absolutely packed out — I've been running from show, to show, to show, to backstage and all. It's been awesome so far and with a couple of more days left, I can't wait to close out this fashion week with a bang (stay tuned on stories to see where I've been going and where I'll be headed for the rest of the week).  For my first killer fashion week outfit, I decided to draw a little inspo from one of my favorite over the top fictional characters of all time — Wes Anderson's very own Madame D. Here's what I came up with.

To capture the Madame's affinity for luxe style, I started with the piece de resistance — this BCBG fur coat I got my hands on a couple of years back. To stay warm throughout my #NYFW travels, I layered this gorgeous ivory turtleneck from Free People underneath this black lace bralette (also Free People!)Next, I paired the look with my favorite new purchase of February: the Brenda leather wrap skirt from Storets. Not only is this piece super versatile when it comes to winter-spring transition weather, it's a lot more comfortable than it appears, and I'm simply obsessed. To finish off the look, I added the only Madame D.- approved bag I could find: this beautiful vintage Gucci crossbody that my grandmother recently gifted to me. She bought this baby a couple decades back, and I'm so grateful to be able to revitalize it. I leave you with a quote I think the Madame would be very fond of —

"Young in limbs, in judgement old."
