MARCH FAVORITES

Is it spring yet? Seriously though, it’s been a tease. I’m so excited to shed some layers and be able to go outside with a light jacket or just stockings. I’m also excited to see things slowly but surely starting to open up more, which will totally be the cherry on top. Finger’s crossed it keeps on keepin’ on this way. This month has been full of happy hours outside, reconnecting with friends (legit Sean and I have been hermits when it comes to seeing our friends since Thanksgiving I kid you not), and just planning things to do in the months to come (maybe we’ll be able to squeeze in a real vacay this summer/fall?!) Let’s hope. With that, I hope we’re also moving toward a better, more peaceful future in the world around us too. It starts from within. Here are some fashion and accessory favorites from this month.

Nirvana Unplugged T-Shirt Dress by UO I’ll be real, I’ve been eyeing this t-shirt dress for a long time. I’ve seen it on just about every blogger I follow, and while I’ll admit I’ve been #influenced, I’ve always been a fan of graphic tees so this was a natural pick for me. In fact, I have some pretty wild graphic tee stories from the past. Probably the best was the time I was wearing a Guns n Roses sweatshirt (also from UO of course) while giving a college tour at FCLC (Fordham Lincoln Center) one time. It took me about halfway through the tour to realize that the dad I was touring was a former bassist for Guns n Roses. Yeah, that was something. I didn’t really recognize him at first (lol) but pretended I was just playing it cool the whole time. Funny time. I don’t think his daughter ended up going to my school. I think of this experience every time I wear a graphic tee now.

Petite Black Quilted Longline Bomber Jacket I was looking for a new bomber jacket for spring and stumbled upon a woman walking down 2nd Ave wearing a long black one. Needless to say, I was enamored by the look. I found a super similar one (I think hers was a bit more high end) here. It’s my new go-to jacket, and I got it for over half off ($45!).

JW Pei Gabbi Bag in Nutella Gee, Alanna, it’s almost like you find your whole wardrobe on Instagram. Guilty as charged, but the app is arguably a new type of “magazine,” so I’m not mad about it. Same as flipping through a catalogue, no? This bag is super cute, and you’ve probably seen it everywhere. I loved the nutella-brown-orange shade (can we make that a Pantone color?), so I picked it up for the Spring, and it’s on saleeeeeeeee!

Amazon Fashion Vintage Retro 70s GlassesOk, I’m like 99% Instagram made these sell out in the yellow shade (the one I have), because they’re no longer there, but I linked out the actual page for when they hopefully come back. They’re more yellow in person and I love rocking them when I wanna switch up my classic Ray-Bans.

Curb Huggies by Caitlyn Minimalist on EtsyI picked up these super cute huggies from this shop for Spring and I’ve been wearing them non-stop since I got them! I love the gold chain link detail, and so far they haven’t changed color or tarnished (an issue I have with a lot of my gold costume jewelry), so A+++++ in my book.

AVANTGUARD Custom Face MaskThis is a * gifted * favorite that I wanted to throw in my favorites just to shed a light on this small, cute mask business! They’re sustainable, super cute and quite breathable. I’ll definitely be reaching for this one a lot in the coming months!

I leave you, as I do at the end of every post, with a little Shakespeare sagacity to wrap up:

“The spring, the summer, The childing autumn, angry winter, change

Their wonted liveries, and the mazed world, By their increase, now knows not which is which.”

[Midsummer 2.1]

Cheers, xx - A. Martine

PS – I also wanted to say a quick thank you for all the support, views + love I got on my living room IGTV tour! I hope to do some more home decor IG coverage in the coming months <3 <3
