OCTOBER FAVORITES

Spooky szn is here! I kind of wish it was fall all year around low-key, I just thrive with the changing leaves, cool jackets, light sweaters and fun fall accessories. This month was well spent with fam + friends, celebrating Sean’s birthday, Lindsey’s birthday 🦋, and of course Halloween (with a cool masquerade!) Very excited for all that’s to come in the rest of the year, and I can’t believe it’s almost 2024… wild stuff, guys. Here, I’m sharing my favorite picks from the month!

fashion

Vintage Floral Bodycon Satin Dress c/o Amazon Fashion — My BFF (since MIDDLE SCHOOL) is getting hitched next weekend and I needed a pretty, fall-inspired but timeless dress for the rehearsal dinner (more to come on the ACTUAL dress I’m wearing to the wedding). I found this super slinky satin dress on Amazon and wasn’t totally convinced it was gonna be the one — but was happily surprised when I received it. It’s definitely more maroon in person rather than brown, but I’m actually obsessed with the fit. It makes me look long and lean and hugs all the right places. This was a gem to find on Amazon, for sure.

accessories

Zig Zag Headbands — The 2000s are still going strong and I recently have been seeing a resurgence of these zig zag headbands on the ‘gram. Luckily, Amazon had them in stock for only $7 for two: a glossy black and a tortoise shell pattern. So so good.

Velvet Bow Barettes from Amazon Fashion — Still not short of bows in this household. I decided to get this set (8!!! bows for $15) because of the velvety fabric and variety of colors. Although I’ll probably regift some of the shades (cough, pink and yellow), the brown, burgundy, black and even deep green have my heart.

Sheertex Tights — Sheertex is majorly on sale rn (usually $99 reduced to $35) and with the couple of weddings I have coming up, I knew it was time to strike and snag a pair. I got the Nude Sheer Rip-Resist Tights in Medium and I’ll certainly be putting them to the test over the next couple of weeks. Can’t wait!

Puffy Glass Heart Necklace — Yeah, yeah, this screams Y2k, but I also picked it up for my Halloween costume this year ;). I can actually see myself wearing it beyond just the holiday though, it will instantly add a 2000s quality to just about any outfit and can even be layered with some other necklaces too!

Leaving you with one of my fave spooky quotes from the bard:

“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.”
