MARCH FAVORITES

This month marks my 28-and-a-half birthday, and I can’t believe how quickly the past six months flew. This month I’ve officially been going back to office a few days a week since 2020 which has been wild (but better than I had anticipated), and I also got to go to the Night of the Stars gala in honor of Linds. It’s been a happy, sad, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming past few weeks, but I look forward to the warmer weather, sunnier days and some upcoming trips we have planned in the spring into summer, as March comes to a close. Here, I’m sharing some of my fave purchases and musings of the month, as per usual!

Shop Cider Floral Lace Up Corset Crop TopI’m starting to transition to my spring wardrobe which means out with the sweaters and in with the corsets! One of my favorite tricks for this time of year when it’s not quite sunny enough to wear spaghetti straps on their own, is by pairing them over a lightweight turtleneck. You still get the fun look of the corset without freezing your shoulders off, and it can look super cute with jeans, a denim skirt, or even slacks. This stunning one from Shop Cider I simply had to have — the toile and the lacey details are just perfect!

Abercrombie 90s Relaxed Jeans in ‘Medium’After going back to the office for a couple weeks, I realized I was in dire-need of work appropriate jeans. A lot of my jean styles have a few rips in them, which is cool, but I didn’t have a blue denim pair that didn’t look extra torn up. I opted to pick these up not only because I love the fit of Abercrombie pants so much, but also because they’ll be easy to pair with tees or even a silky collared shirt for a more professional, work-appropriate look. I’m pretty obsessed because they fit like a glove and I can’t wait to rock them with some white AF1’s this spring.

Black Structured Vintage Leather Bag — Recently, my mom worked to clean out the remainder of my closet at home, and stumbled upon this stunning structured bag that I’m happy to have my hands on again. This belonged to my grandmother and I’m excited to incorporate it into my spring wardrobe — I think it will look killer with a short skirt and combat boots!

Iridescent Instax Mini Photo FramesDuring said closet clean-out, my mom also happened upon a lot of old polaroid photos from college, with Lindsey, from vacations, and more. I wanted a few new polaroid frames for the apartment to frame them, and found these really pretty Urban Outfitters-worthy ones for only $16 for a pack of three. They also come in a few other finishes with glitter or colors, but I thought the iridescent would be the coolest and I was right — they catch the light gorgeously.

Adan Task Chair by WayfairWhen we moved into this apartment last year we decided to keep a clear plastic chair I own (which is actually meant to be paired with my clear acrylic desk/console table) for our desk. There was unfortunately no space for the clear desk after we purchased this *actual* desk in our apartment— cough, Sean needed drawers — but we had decided to keep the clear chair there for the interim. Long story short, we knew eventually we’d get a real desk chair, and the time came this past month when we saw some small cracks creeping up the clear chair (womp womp, that’s what happens with plastic furniture lol). We found this amazing swively option from Wayfair and I jumped on it — and am so happy I did. It has a plush, velvet material, can be brought up and down and is super comfy. We got the ‘Tan’ shade which I’d argue is more of a cream color, which matches the rest of our room pretty well.

Leaving you with a quote that’s resonated with me in the past few weeks:

“Hope is a lover's staff; walk hence with that and manage it against despairing thoughts.”
