PAISLEY FT. H&M
Paisley is a pattern that I absolutely love because there’s something just so nostalgic about it. Sure, I wasn’t around in the ‘60s or ‘70s when the pattern was possibly at its prime, but it definitely had a moment here and there in the early 2000s when I frequented Limited Too, so that’s probably why it stuck with me. I distinctly remember having a hot pink paisley tank top I was obsessed with as a tween — and with that being said, it is true that the pattern can look a little juvenile. Needless to say, I haven’t found something paisley I’ve been drawn to in a while, that is until I stumbled upon this cutie tee at H&M. It’s the perfect blend of fun and maturity, and I absolutely love the crinkle-tight fit. I paired it with this petticoat-inspired skirt from Cider (similar here), and these strappy sandals from Jeffrey Campbell, and I have to say, this look made me fall in love with those nostalgic swirls all over again and maybe, just maybe, let me channel my younger days just a bit!
“Fair youth, I would I could make thee believe I love.”
