MAY FAVORITES
Mayyyy… although it was a lot rainier of a month than I would’ve liked, it was overall a nice one. A few fun things we did include seeing Death Becomes Her on Broadway, and trying some new hot restaurants (Bridges, Carbone Privato, and San Sabino, to name a few). I also had some not-so-fun things happen— I got a ‘1-inch’ laceration on my right middle finger cause I dropped a glass bowl (which shattered, fun), and had to get three stitches. This is also somehow my third finger injury, so it’s truly a lesson to me to move more slowly…. and perhaps take up some finger-strengthening activities (piano? ha JK). Anyway other than the downs, May has overall been a lovely month. Here’s a look at some newness in my closet.
fashion
H&M Floral Yellow Dress — Ok it’s a bit wrinkled (oops) but wanted to share this cutie dress I picked up at H&M that I can’t wait to wear this summer. It’s really light and is a super breathable material and will be super cute with strappy sandals or combat boots. Can’t wait to style it.. after I iron it of course lol.
Jenny Bird Florence Earrings * gifted * — Okay so we all know how much I love chunky hoops. That’s why I was stoked when Jenny Bird recently gifted me these cutie earrings. They’re a wee bit heavy but very worth the look and I’ve been wearing them nonstop this month.
RPLZ Tortoise Initial Claw Clip * gifted * — Another gifted pick of the month was this claw clip from RPLZ. Not only is the initial super luxe-looking, the tortoise gives it a nice contrast and I can’t wait to wear it during beach days coming up!
Jeffrey Campbell Leeda Strappy Sandal — Perhaps my favorite purchase of the month, these cute strappy sandals were a must-needed buy because (fun story) I actually left the black strappy sandals I’ve had and worn constantly since 2019 in FLORIDA. Yup, a sad story overall considering I had purchased those in a Zara in Paris and although a bit scratched up, they lived a good life for 6 years! It was time to upgrade to something new anyway (even if I hadn’t left them in an Orlando Uber, lol), and these were the ones I landed on. They took a few wears to break in but are officially comfortable, cute, and match with a lot of my clothing. This photo makes them look a bit burgundy but rest assured, they’re a nice chocolate brown hue. I like them so much I might just get another pair.
Leaving you with a little Shakespeare takeaway that has always been a favorite of mine:
“Suit the action to the word, the word to the action”
[Hamlet 2.3]
