FALL FLORALS FEAT. CIDER

This blog post is a bit different than my typical one. I wanted to talk a little bit about the inspo behind this look and why it was so special to me.

This past week, we got to celebrate Lindsey’s birthday with a beautiful (and very first) benefit in her honor 🦋. I wanted to put together a look that felt festive but demure, and something she’d like. That’s when I found this pretty floral two-piece set on Cider— it was kind of the perfect combo of both. When on (the top actually sits more at my waist since I’m petite), it looked like a dress, which is super fun, but it can be mixed and matched, too, and I’m excited to pair the top with some baggy jeans, or the skirt with a chunky sweater as we head into colder months. I paired the look with these, for lack of a better term, Lindsey shoes. She was such a fan of all things lacy and elegant, and the pointed gold toe plus the shape is something I could literally see on her feet this minute. I paired it all with an old coat from Nasty Gal, plus a Gucci bag and brown sunnies. Getting dressed up reminds me of her nearly every time I do it, so it’s only the right way to honor her, even if she’d maybe have a comment that my choker looks juvenile (oh well) :). Miss her dearly, had the best time, and am excited to keep celebrating her in this very visceral way—always.
